Marsden Grange is set in extensive, beautifully kept grounds where residents can walk in safety and relax in privacy.
Marsden Grange enjoys an elegant and homely atmosphere with the sitting rooms and conservatory enjoying peaceful viewsonto the lawned garden. All facilities have been thoroughly modernised to provide the maximum of comfort. A high standard of Care is provided and our Managers are available to ensure that each resident achieves the maximum benefit during their stay at Marsden Grange.
We are pleased to welcome both ladies and gentlemen into the Home either on a long or short term basis. Accommodation is available in single or shared rooms, many with en-suite facilities. Television is available if required and private telephone lines can be arranged through B.T. Every room contains a call switch for the residents to summon assistance, if required at any time, day or night.
Some of our bedrooms are situated on the ground floor for residents who have difficulty in walking, but a chair lift enables easy access to the other bedrooms on the first floor. Residents are welcome to furnish their rooms with their own possessions as appropriate. Residents may come and go as they please, although they must inform Staff before leaving the Home, for reasons of Fire safety. Independence is encouraged as much as possible.
The Pendle Suite is a purpose built, self contained care facility built within the grounds of Marsden Grange, close to the main house and enjoys all the usual Marsden Grange facilities. Opened in 2003 it offers 16 single rooms, each with en-suite shower facilities.
We have an activities co-ordinator who arranges a calendar of events, some of which include discussion groups, movement to music and other quieter activities such as dominoes, video afternoons and arts and crafts. She also arranges outside organisations to visit and provide library books, clothes parties, church services and a variety of entertainments. We are always delighted if relatives and friends of residents will join us on any of our social occasions.
There are large well kept private gardens to the front and rear of the Home, with patios and walkways, for residents and their visitors to enjoy.
Residents are responsible for the safe keeping of their personal valuables, all rooms are secure and in addition, a drawer in each bedroom will have a lock and key.
If requested small amounts of money will be kept in safe keeping by the Manager.
