The Home occupies a fully modernised Lancashire Country House and purpose built unit, the Pendle Suite which together provides accommodation for 40 residents and is registered with Lancashire County Council as a Preferred Provider. There is a large conservatory and private garden where residents and visitors can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the grounds.
At Marsden Grange we provide a safe, comfortable and warm environment with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, where the individual needs, wants and aspirations of older people are met through careful introduction, assessment, care planning and reviewing. We provide a healthy well balanced menu where residents have a choice. We support and encourage continuous professional development of our staff through formal and informal routes to ensure high standards of care are maintained and are always looking and listening to feedback from residents, family and friends, staff and inspectors of ways to improve our service. We have policies and procedures in place to protect the health and safety of our residents and staff. We strive to safeguard and improve the residents quality of life respecting each person as an individual with different and diverse backgrounds. We support people to be as independent as possible enabling them to make choices and realise their abilities in all aspects of daily life. We offer a range of social activities for residents to participate in if they choose. We care for all aspects of our residents needs, with support from health professionals, in a sensitive manner, respecting privacy and ensuring choice and rights are upheld and dignity maintained at all times.
The main house has 12 single rooms and 6 shared, all with hand basins and some with en-suite toilet. The Pendle Suite has 16 single rooms all with en-suite facilities.

Many of the bedrooms at Marsden Grange offer picturesque views of Pendle Hill and the surrounding countryside, a well known beauty spot to visitors, also well known for its history of witches and witchcraft.
The home is well served by the local amenities. Immediately outside the Home there is a bus stop providing services to Nelson centre and shops, approximately 1 mile away. The town of Nelson offers a main line railway station, and the nearby M65 motorway is within 2 miles and services many of the local Lancashire towns.

Our Care Assistants provide a high level of care to exacting standards and are fully trained in accordance with our stated objectives in the Marsden Grange“QUALITY POLICY”. Staff are trained to N.V.Q level 2 and 3 as well as Health and Social Care Diplomas and are subject to disclosure procedures via the Criminal Records Bureau.
Marsden Grange is Registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Care Standards Act 2000. Not only does the Home comply with the strict regulations of the County Council, but also with the Environmental Health and Fire Services Departments.
